Amasunzu is a collection of very intricate and elaborate hairstyles worn by the people of Rwanda. The Rwandan name, Ngabo means "soldier". Ngabo was my very first sculpture and is quite flawed. He has a crack at the back of his head and unbaked (soft, dry) clay under his neck which interferes with his paint job on his lower neck. He also has some dust stuck to the top of his head due to improper finishing techniques. The price has been lowered due to these flaws and although he may seem rough, he is still very much special.
