Ada Anyanwü translates to Daughter of the Sun in Igbo, my origin. This piece captures an imagined memory of a secondary school girl, returning home in her uniform, pausing for a photograph beneath the harsh afternoon sun–wearing the earrings her mother gave her, a tender gesture for the moment to be remembered.

(Oil on tree bark - walnut basswood)

Mount using heavy-duty Command Strips (wipe the back of the wood with rubbing alcohol before application).
